Hi my period was due about 3 weeks ago. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests all negative. I think I have a nabothian cyst because I felt a bumb by my cervix ,feels like a small pea. Would that cause me to be late? I have also been bloated and have had very bad heartburn. I have tried lossing weight but nothing I so seems to work. not sure what is wrong with me. Any suggestions?
Hello, Thanks for posting your query. Nabothian cysts are a common occurrence and do not cause delayed periods. You need a speculum exam by a gynecologist to see what the swelling really is. Your symptoms of bloating and heart burn are likely to be due to gastritis. You seem to be stressed and this can also cause the delay in the period. Please see a specialist for a proper assessment of your situation. A sonogram of the pelvic, preferably in the trans-vaginal route will help to know the status of the pelvic organs and exclude/confirm pregnancy. Further management can be planned accordingly. Take care.
