What Causes Slight Vaginal Spotting 5 Years Post Menopause?
I just had a pelvic/transvaginal ultra-sound that showed at 26mm endometrial thickness appears somewhat heterogeneous with a 12 mm cystic focus. I am 59 years old 5 years into menopause. I started with just some light staining when wiping x 3 weeks once or twice a day. how likely is this endometrial cancer? I just had an emdometrial biopsy today.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The biopsy report will tell whether there is any evidence of hyperplasia or cancer in the endometrial biopsy. Postmenopausal bleeding is suspicious and needs to be investigated.
