Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Increased sleepiness is not typical of spinal surgery in this level. For this reason, I recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam and a polysomnogram, in order to investigate for possible sleep apnea, not related to your past spinal surgery.

It is also necessary checking fasting glucose, blood electrolytes and thyroid hormone levels for possible imbalances.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
