What Causes Skipping Of Heart Beat And Sharp Chest Pain?
Hi - I am a 42 year old male. I have been diagnosed with a occasinal skipped heart beat. Do-not feel it all the time but has been a concern. I have had two stress tests, along with with a echo test. All have come back normal. I keep thinking there is something else they are missing. A few times I have gone into the ER because my chest just did not feel right. Each time things have come back normal. On occasion I will feel a sharp pain in my chest. Nothing severe, but gets my attention. This happened me yesterday while I was eating breakfast. It came on fast, and left fast. But, it got my attention. Typically my heart rate is at around 60 to 70 with blood preasure at around 125/80. Am i freaking out for nothing. Or should I have another opinion. Right now the only med I am taking is metropolol 25 mg. I am 6' and about 190lbs.
Since you have done almost all the heart examinations about chest pain there is nothing to worry about. This pain that you describe seems not typical for heart problems. To calm yourself you can do a chest x-ray, take pantoprazole and do an angioct of the coronary vessels.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
