What Causes Sharp Pains In Lower Left Side And Lower Left Back?

Sharp pains in lower left side and lower left back radiating to the pelvic area. Drinking lots of water but nothing seems to ease the pain which is not constant but lasts from 15 mins to an hour. Cannot find a comfortable position when the pain comes on. I recently completed a 40 day hcg diet.

Hi
You could be having a colic and I suggest you get a few basic tests done. These include an ultrasound scan, a urine analysis, serum creatinine estimation for kidney function. An xray may also be required preferably early in the morning. You can take tab. Hyoscine for acute colic episode for pain relief. Once the test reports are available we will be in a better position to advise you.
Regards.
