What Causes Sharp Eye Pain And Double Vision?

My husband hexperienced sharp pains in his right eye several times yesterday and has also had double vision in that eye only -if both eyes are open he doesn t have double vision. What would cause this and what professional should we seek treatment from?

Hello,

Get your eye checked by eye doctor, ocular muscular function should be tested, cover test should be done to detect phoria exclude squint.

If your age is bellow nine years, then it can be surgically treated and if above, then the correction will be cosmetically acuity should be tested. Exclude ambyalopia and anisometropia refraction should be done.

If error is detected, then it should be corrected as there can be severe astigmatism which should be corrected and specs are consultative eye doctor or neuro surgeon.
