What Causes Sharp Abdominal And Vaginal Pains?

Hi dr. I m a 25yrs old female. 26weeks pregnant. weighting 55kg, height 158 cm. I used to have abdominal pains and viginal bleeding before the pregnancy and the doctor told me that i have irregular mensturation. Current, since the past 3days i have been having sharp abdominal and virginal pains. My tummy keeps on getting tight after every...few minutes. The baby s kicking /moving as normal. Yesterday i went to the clinic and they said these are not labor pains. I am worried, i just want to know what might be the cause.

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion sometimes excess physical strain ,dehydration or any infection like dental or UTI etc might irritate the uterus leading to pains. But as it is confirmed that they are not labour pains theres no worry about preterm labour. They might be muscular pains also.Take adequate fluids upto 2 litres and adequate bed rest.Take paracetamol for pain .Dont worry they will subside.
