What Causes Shaky Hands?

Hello, for the past 6-7 years I have had problems with my hands shaking. I did CT and MRI scans, but they showed nothing. My mom had few neurologists examine it and they all agreed it was clean. I am 18 and I can't understand what could be causing it, because my nerves seem to be fine.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the symptoms are related to essential tremor. This is the most common movement disorder.

There are different theories as to the possible causes.

The treatment mainly involves the use of medication such a propanolol and primidone.

Where it is very disabling, surgery can be considered.

I hope this helps
