Holding the pen between my fingers cause weakness to write . I have too put extra force and strength to do it then it leads to pain in the hand . I am now on Amytriptlline to assist with writing or I would not be able to write with ease. I can only use 25my anything less would not allow me to write . I have done autoimmune blood test. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to nerve entrapment however thyroid profile and sugar levels monitoring as well as B12 and folic acid levels may be needed.

Supplements for calcium D3 B12 and folic acid may be started. Hand physiotherapy can be helpful. If nerve conduction studies results are awaited those can be diagnostic so better be discussed by a neurologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
