What Causes Severe Upper Abdominal Pain During 29th Week Of Pregnancy?

I am 29 weeks 7 days pregnant and I have been having severe upper abdominal pain on both sides below my breasts that radiate to my back, I feel constipated and I can only have a bowl movement in the morning after I drink 2 cups of coffee. I actually started feeling the pain about a week ago and I went to the hospital and they diagnosed me with a uti infection, prescribed me medicine and sent me home. I still had all the symptoms listed above the whole time I was taking the medicine and I m still having them now and I m done with the medicine. I was wondering if I could get an opinion on what this might be? I read online that appendicitis starts with pain.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi,

It is always better to get an ultrasound done. Pregnancy is a time when we can take no risks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
