What Causes Severe Right-sided Pelvic Pain And Fever Post An IUD Implantation?
I am having very severe pelvic pain. It starts specifically on my right side but spreads and will shoot down my leg. I recently had an IUD placed 3 months ago but have concerns that this might be more than just the normal so called pains that come with it. The pain is so bad the I get a small fever when it starts and feel faint.

Hi, severe pelvic pain which goes down the leg specially after the CU T insertion can not be normal. You should rush for treatment. It can be pelvic inflammation or abscess/ any other swelling of the organs at the site.. which are pressing on the nerves supplying leg... like appendix/ right ovary/Right kidney or disc problem at lumber region. You needs investigations like USG pelvis/ high vaginal swab culture/ Blood counts, urine tests & X ray spine to finalize the cause with consultation of your family physician to start with followed by reference to the specialist he thinks of. Thanks.
