What Causes Severe Pain In The Head And The MRI Would Be Normal?
I have had ice pick headaches in the past. They were so bad my neurologist had a MRI done 2/2009. All they could tell me was don t worry, we saw something on your pituitary gland but it s common. just use naproxen as needed. well I have had severe pain several times a day recently over the past week. I just keep taking naproxen morning and night now...they are so incredibly painful!! How come there is nothing to show what causes theses??? it s soooo very stressful
Hello, Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I read your query and I understand your concern and the anguish that you are having.
If you have had an MRI, then this is not something too serious to worry about. It is possible that you have a simple migraine. A migraine starts because of certain trigger factors. Here are a few of them: Colds Fevers Infections Weather changes
If you have had an MRI and it is all clear. And you will be fine. Here are a few things you can do to help you: Inhale steam mixed with Eucalyptus oil to clear the nasal passages Take a Paracetamol 500 when you feel you are about to get a headache Drink lots of water Sleep well and get at least 8 hours of sleep a day Eat meals at regular times
Follow up after 5 days. All the best. Hope this helps you. Feel free to clarify further. Dr Vignan
