What Causes Severe Itching Of Clitoris?

My clitoris and hood are itching like crazy...I have uses over the counter creams for yeast infections and it helps temporarily. If I have sex it comes back. What does this mean and why is this specific area more itchy than the rest? Some discharge but white and milky. Clumps up on my labia and makes me itch more. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear patient! Welcome to HCM!

Itching in your genital area usually is caused by infections. You have used topical creams for yeast infections but it also may be an infection caused by bacteria and anti mycotic crams aren't fully effective. You have to do the tests of the discharge or secretions and find out what is the pathogen and what antibiotic or combined antibiotics is/are effective. It's advisable that both of you ( you and your partner to take antibiotics).

Take care and best wishes!
Dr Eriol.
