What Causes Severe Itching In The Body?

I am a 24 year old former college basketball player who is in good health. For the past several months whenever I do any kind of minimal exertion, even walking, I will get hot and develop an intense feeling of itching over much of my body. My skin my get red but really doesn t involve a rash. I have been to walk in clinics and diagnosed with tinea versicolor but treatment did not help. Prednisone and antihistamines didnt help either. Please help with any Suggestions! Thank you!!

Hi, thank you for using Hralthcare Magic.
We understand the concerns you feel. Skin diseases are best to be diagnosed on direct examination because so many skin diseases can show similar images.

Abnormalities in the skin can be caused by several factors that allegedly influence, among others:
1. External factors: insect bites, contact with allergen triggers (allergens), physical factors such as heat, cold, light.
2. Internal factors: emotional stress and other
3. Food allergies and medications
4. Family history with atopic dermatitis, asthma or allergies.

Here's what you can do:
1. Choose baby soap that contains many moisturizers and less allergic
2. Use a moisturizer on the hand
3. Avoid using bath soap that contains antiseptic because it will make the skin dry
4. Keep the itchy area from scratching or friction
5 Wear clothes that can cover the arms and legs and use clothes that absorb sweat. Avoid clothes that trigger itch like wool material.
6. Stay away from the allergeb that you may have.

However, to be able to diagnose a skin disease must be proven by direct examination by a dermatologist. For that, we recommend that you should immediately see a dermatologist for further diagnosis and therapy.

It is thus information we can convey. I hope it useful.
