What Causes Severe Itching In The Abdomen, Hands And Legs During Pregnancy?

Hi. Am 5 months pregnant. I had severe itching in my belly when i was in 4th month. Now its been spread to hands and legs. Took LFT and GFT tests last week. My Gyno said, things r normal and asked me to continue UDILIV tablet whenever i get itching. May i know the reason or itching? Is it advisable to check with Dermatologist?

Hi, I think you are having intra hepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. In this you will have itching all over body mostly in hands and feet. It occurs maximum at night. You can take udiliv. You can also take cetrizine or avil tablet at night if itching is more. You can apply calamine lotion on the itchy areas.
