What Causes Severe Itching And Rashes On Foot, Thigh And Buttocks Of A Toddler?

My 3yr old daughter has severe itch, rashes on foot,thigh,buttocks and on left hand spider for last 15days. She s been treated with desowen and calmine 1st week with no result we had to approach dermatologist and prescribed with hydrozine and momisoft with dermadew but still didn t find any result

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Itchy rash on foot, thigh, buttocks and hand could be due to fungal infection or due to primary skin lesion.
The ointment prescribed are steroids and soothing lotions.
Steroids are effective in controlling irritation causing itching.
Soothing ointment like calamine provide soothing effect on the affected area.
Since, there is no relief after using these preparations, it is quite possible that itching is due to fungal infection and in that case anti-fungals have to be used.
Thus, consult your pediatrician for clinical assessment and prescription of anti-fungals to control the symptoms.
