What Causes Severe Heartburn While On Ranitidine And Celebrex?
can i take rinitadine 150 mg at night to ward off Increase in Gerd sxs ...began taking celebrex 100 mg qd in am for arthritic knee pain for the past 4 days. Noticing increase in heartburn esp at night ....after sitting on couch watching tv before bed.

Celebrex has a high risk of causing stomach side effects such as heartburn. It is probably this that is causing the heartburn. I suggest stopping it. If you have ranitidine you can take it twice a day (morning ans evening) to relieve heartburn though medication called omeprazole is more effective.
