What Causes Severe Hair Loss While On Levothyroxine And Eliquis?
I am on Eliquis and Metoprolo - my primary care doctor said my thyroid is high and put me on Levothyroxin I am 70. Having SIGNIFICANT hair falling out and thinning. I have only been on the Levothyroxin for 2 weeks. I am also (since this drug added) tired, and depressed. What happens if I quit taking Levothyroxin Primary Care told me to go see a dermotoligist (sp?) thank you

You should never think about stopping your thyroid medication until your doctor advises due to some reason.
This is because depression also can lead to hair loss. That has nothing to do with Levothyroxine.
