What Causes Severe Fatigue And Muscle Ache?

57 yr old female been very healthy with NO meds at all, very tired every day lately, usually fair skin and I am even paler now. Family history significant for heart issues. Achey muscles all the time. Should I be concerned for cardiac issues or is this life with menopause.

Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.

* As per my clinical experience, there can be various reasons for severe
fatigue with muscle ache as

- nutritional deficiencies involving iron, vitamins, proteins, trace
elements as zinc, magnesium or others
- low levels of active thyroid hormones as in hypothyroid status
- menopause related ( also usual co existence of hot flashes, mood
swings )

Needs a definite evaluation with your physician for look into the matter and best guidelines accordingly.

Wish you best health and recovery.

Thank you.
Regards.
