What Causes Severe Dry And Sore Throat?
hi my father has had a severe dry sore throat for about five months now. hes been seeing hes doctor who has no idea what it is but has prescribed him with many different antibiotics and antifungals but nothing has worked. in the last week the pain has been accomponied by a bumpy red rash down his throat that seems to be pharyngites but surely if it was, all the medications would have killed the strep by now i would think... not sure if it has any connection but he has pityriasis rosea on his neck wich appeared around the same time as the throat pain.. he was diagnosed with graves desease 3 years ago but has had his thyroid levels checked and are normal. what could this be

I really appreciate your concern for your father, such symptoms most probably due to hyperacidity (GERD ) may be the cause and in my opinion this can be best managed with "Tab Omeprazole 40 mg 30 mg once in day for six weeks, he need to void coffee, alcohol, smoking, spicy food, prior to bed, even need to low down the stress, everything would be fine soon and this is nothing to worry hope this information helps take care
