What Causes Severe Cough, Tingling In Throat, Nasal Bleeding And Rib Cage Pain?
I been coughing up for about 4 days and it starts by a tingling in my throat. I cough up cold and mucus. The cough last a minute or until I cough up cold and I guess mucus and sometimes throw up, but not much. This is the 4 day and now I have a little nose bleed. My right side under my rib case is painful when I move it from side to side (wiggle) Do you think you know what this problem is?
The most common cause of an acute cough is an acute viral illness like the common cold.
Since this involves inflammation of the respiratory tract (nose, throat, sinuses), blood can sometimes be seen. This is the reason that you would see the blood in your nostril.
The chest pain would be due to inflammation of the chest from the coughing. An anti inflammatory pain killer like ibuprofen, naproxen or cataflam would help with that.
The use of a mucolytic to help break up the mucus may be a good idea for you to try eg bisolvan, mucomyst, guaifenesin.
I hope this helps
