What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain And Lower Back Pain After Menstruation?

It s three days after my period ended and I have severe abdominal pain. Could this be from my cycle or most likely something else? I also have a slight pain in my lower back on the left side. I am 50 years old and this is the first time this has happened.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Based on the current information, especially your age I am currently suspecting pre-menopause. You also seem to have never experienced any menstrual irregularities which is why the lower back pain, abdominal pain, etc; all seem unusual to you. In my opinion, this is indeed normal and age-related, and you may require some help with menopause and how to expect what, which is why I recommend a visit to your doctor for further management ma'am, nothing serious at all so please do not worry.

Best wishes.
