Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a colonoscopy about ten days ago. On the same day I had a double (air) barium x-ray. I was told that this was so the last two inches of my large colon could be seen. For over 10 days I have had severe gas pain. I am passing gas now and then but have little relief from the severe gas type pain. Is this normal? How long will this last?
I am not getting answers from the two doctors that performed this procedure and are in this practice together.

What Causes Sever Gas Post Colonoscopy?
Hello dear Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com I have evaluated your query thoroughly . * Procedure as such does not reveal the condition after 10 days . * It is in relation with altered gut flora mechanics with altered bowel motility . * Basic treatment with pro biotics and pro kinetics will solve the issue . Welcome for further assistance . Regards .
