What Causes Redness Skin After Showering And Excercising?

I get very purple and red blotchy skin after showering and redness after exercising (where I get hot and sweat) and I was wondering what this might be? I also get pain in my lower left glute that feels like a pinched nerve but makes my leg go pins and needles and numb.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history, you are having cholinergic urticaria. My treatment advice is:

1. Avoid fast food and food with artificial colors for 2 months.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medicine like levocetrizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
