What Causes Red Spots Outside The Mouth, Red Swollen Gums In Kid?

Hi, my 14 month old had a sore throat for a couple of days aswell as runny nose and cough, we thought she got better untill 2 days ago right after the cold disappeared red spots around the outside of her mouth and really dark red swollen gums appeared? what is this?

Hello, thank you for consulting with healthcaremagic.
Actually this is the age of teething , and childrens had a habit of putting some or the other things in the mouth , it looks that she has some kind of infection which is spreadig from mouth to skin.
You have to start with antibiotics which will resolve the condition. Better you visit a pedodontist ( child dentist ) as he will examine the gums thoroughly and if needed do the oral prophylaxis also.
