What Causes Red Sores On Mons Pubis After Having Sex?
Hi doc, I m an 18 yr. old female, 150 lbs, and 5 10 . I was sexually active with a new partner. The following day, I obtained a red sore on my mons pubis. The number of sores increased as days passed by and they turned into open red sores. I only obtained sores on my mons pubis. They were very painful and oozed clear puss (i m assuming it is puss?), so I treated it with Neosporin and large bandages. The sores vanished in about a week after all of them broke out. What could this be?

It would be very hard to point out the exact nature of the sores without having been able to have a look at but I will definitely like to rule out a possibility of Herpes Genitalis. Another possibility is bacterial folliculitis
A short temporal history after unprotected sex; symptoms like pain, clear discharge are somewhat suggestive of herpes. It is unlikely for any other STD to show up so fast except for herpes genitalis.
Herpes lesions are quite characteristic to be diagnostic on a physical i.e grouped discrete vesicles or erosions/blisters.
I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist for a confirmatory diagnosis.
If this is indeed herpes, treatment would include oral antiviral like acyclovir Or valacyclovir.
