General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Redness and irritation on the skin could possibly due to yeast infection. However, it is difficult to give a definite answer without a physical examination. So please be advised to follow up with your primary provider who can confirm the diagnosis. Microscopy of skin scrapings would also be done at the doctor's office.
If the diagnosis is confirmed, management is with antifungal agents like Lotrimin.

Hope this answers your question
