What Causes Red Line In Eyes?

Scratched eye?
My eye feels like it has something in it but there is no object present. I have scratched my eye in the past and by looking at my eye there is a red line (vein?) that is small but very apparent. I have eyedrops that my doctor gave me a while ago for this problem but it doesn't seem to take the discomfort away. Should I keep taking these drops and hope to be better by the morning?

It seems from the history that you are having a red line in eye probably indicating a dilated vein and congestion.
This requires use of decongestant eye drops.
If there are signs of infection like pain, discharge you need to consult your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment.
