What Causes Recurring Headaches During Pregnancy?

I m 25 weeks pregnant and I keep getting these recurring mild headaches that come on suddenly at my temple and last a minute. They are not ice pick headaches. They feel as though somewhere were poking me in the head with a long fingernail. One of the last ones flashed to the back of my head before it went away. I do have some shoulder pain. I ve suffered from migraines in the past, but very few during pregnancy.
