What Causes Recurring Fever In A Child Along With Tonsillitis?
Hi my kid has been having fever gor the last 24 hours. He was seen by a doctot last night who said it is due to viral illness of tonsillitis. He is continuing to have fever upto 39.8, which is responding to panadol but is returning in 5 - 6 hrs. what should I do?

I really appreciate your concern, fever may not be due to any infection but this could be due viral infection, ideally condition need to be treated as viral infection initially and if this does not come around till 5 or more days then blood test need to be get done to rule out the infection, till then hydration would be matte of concern, hope this information helps, take care.
