What Causes Recurring Diarrhea And Green Colored Stools?

If a person has had diarehea for over a month and has dark green stools, What could be the cause? The person has had bad cramps and pressure. The person has been to a doctor and they gave a prescription which made the cramping worse. The age is 61, pretty healthy otherwise, maintains a pretty good diet.
