What Causes Rashes Behind The Arm After Taking Allopurinol For Gout?
Please can I ask you question doctor about 25 years old male develop some sort of rash on the back of his arm 24hours after took medication of allopurinol for the treatment of gout so what s the step can do it for this patient and is that reason for concern ?

Hi dear rash is commonest side effect of allopurinol occurs in 10% of patients. but it will be mild..for that I advise you as follows
1) do not scratch but apply ice
2) use zocon powder on affected area
3) regular bath with antiseptic salon
4) keep skin moist
5) if you develop any allergic symptoms such as swelling take tab cetrizine and consult physician immediately
