Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had 4 strokes, I guess mild because I have very little residadul from the old ones. I have also had multiple tia s. last night I kept feeling really dizzy and sick when I sat by a campfire. I would get away for awhile and my heart would beat fast and my right arm at one point started hurting me. I thought I got too much sun and went to bed since the feeling kept coming back longer and longer each time. I did not sleep too long bc I was in a cabin with many people. when I got up I felt out of it aabit but thought I was just tired. my arm thought hurt from my neck to my finger tips. I went home and went to sleep for abit, neck to arm still hurts and head still feels weird. my last stroke I thought I slept wrong and went to the dr and they sent me to hospital I guess I had a disessection of my carotid which I gues was small and they watched and it healed. I am on Coumadin since they can not determine why I throw clots. my problem is if I call my dr for an appt and tell them how I feel they, everytime it could be stroke related they send to the er and sometimes the er drs make me feel like a fool bc it is something else and they are like why did you come. if I am invasive when making appt and get in they send me to the er by ambulance. I don t think it is a stoke I am on my meds but I don t want to automatically be sent to er for no reason, I like that they are taking precautions but it could be other things they don t have to jump to the stroke conclusion everytime. I do always get tired easily. so ok what else could this be so I am prepared to bring them up or could I really just be having another one. I love my drs and used to work with them and I think that is why they are so cautious but I hate to waste time of theirs or er. should I give it so days even though I don t think I did anything physical it was a busy weekend and I could of over did it and my body just wants to rest. I am scared not to ask them bc they tell me I have to stop not coming when I don t feel could and waiting so long bc one day it may be too late. and I don t want to end up bad.
