What Causes Radiating Pain Under The Arms Despite A Normal X-ray Report?

I ve had a pain against my body located few inches down from underarm which radiates towards back but X-rays only show very old broken bone and no new ones. Dr thought it might be muscle in Between ribs because few days before placed a box a stretched up high. It lessened after I stopped lifting anything but had to one day lift about a 6 pound bag. So it s sore now

It could be suprascapular nerve entrapment, you need to consult shoulder surgeon for further evaluation.
