What Causes Prominent Veins In Upper Chest?

I am a 17 year old girl and as long as I can remember I ve had bright blue veins stretching across my upper chest onto my shoulders. It appears as if you can see all my vein wiring in my my upper chest and I ve never seen it so severe in anyone else. Is this normal?

Hello hope the answer helps you.As far as your concern madam for prominent bright blue veins across upper chest and shoulders you dont have to worry as long you dont have any symptoms, these dermal threads can be prominent in fair skinned thin people and they are benign having no communication with great vessels. Also I understand your concern for your knowledge big thyroid swelling in neck can put pressure on great vessels in chest leading to diversion pathways with varicosity with obvious symptoms of shortness of breath which is not your case hope your anxiety will lessen to some extent
I find this answer helpful
