What Causes Prolonged Period?

My period usually lasts four or five days, however I am going on my ninth day. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for four months; however, I don t think it is related due to a negative test the day before I started my period. At what point should I be concerned?

hi.

noted history of abnormal uterine bleeding. it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably an OB-gynecologist, for a thorough physical examination and clinical evaluation. endometrial, ovarian, cervical and other gynecologic pathologies must be ruled-out. diagnostics (such as ultrasound) and management (medical and/or surgical if indications are found) will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
