I have been bleeding for over a month and despite taking pause tablets it is not stopping. This situation is happening after a year. Last year this happened and I went for a dnc. The biopsy result said I had endometriosis later scans said I did not have. I dont understand what could be wrong. Please advise
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Tranexamic acid is meant to act as a styptic to ensure hemostasis, but, when the cause of the bleeding is not treated, complete arrest cannot be seen. Your symptoms suggest a possible hormone imbalance. You should see an expert for a proper clinical assessment, get a complete hormone profile, trans-vaginal/pelvic sonogram, coagulation profile and routine blood counts and urinalysis. Weight changes, stress, infections, certain medications, cysts in the ovaries and peri-menopause can cause this clinical picture. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
