What Causes Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding Along With Cramps?
I m experiencing what I thought was my monthly. But this is the first time that its lasted for 6 days at first two days very light then heavyish one day and now for the past 3 days there is only a smear of blood when wiping after urination. Very slight cramps rare barely felt. I am very sexually active with my partner 0 protection. I have been getting rather nauseous threw the day and having slight pain randomly in one or both breasts. I m confused more than anything cause I know my body.
There are many medical conditions that may cause abnormal uterine bleeding. With negative pregnancy tests, causes linked to pregnancy can be eliminated.Other possible causes of your symptoms at your age could be:
-Premenopause
-Hormonal imbalances
-Medical conditions such as uterine masses(fibroids, cancer)
-Infectious causes though rare given your description of symptoms.
I will advise you see a Gynecologist for examination and work-ups.A pelvic ultrasound will be a very important test to evaluate your symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
