What Causes Pressure In The Chest And Fatigue?

Have had squeezing pressure in center of chest all the time for couple days now. Feel very tired and my asthma acting up more. Inhaler isn t helping much. Doing any activity right now makes the squeezing worse. I have Sjogren s, asthma, diabetes (type 1.5), fibromyalgia, gout, and chronic migraines. I do not have high blood pressure. I am over weight.

Hi.

What you are describing is a typical case of angina, a chest pain due to cardiac origin, pain due to the heart. Kindly consult a cardiologist to get an ECG done and 2D Echo done to evaluate your heart. And please check if you are taking Salbutamol for your ashtma. It increases heart rate as a side effect and you might have to stop taking it and consult.your docor for an alternative medicine. For a temporary pain relief I'd suggest you to take sorbitrate tablets and let it stay under your tongue. It will dissolve and give you relief from that pain in minutes. Incase the pain doesn't reduce its less likely to be angina.

Don't get frightened if it's your heart. Now a days medical care has improved so much even the disorders of the heart have the highest success rates in curative aspects.

Dr. Karan Shekar.
