What Causes Pressure In Abdomen During Pregnancy?

Hi I am 4 months pregnant and I have had a pressure on my tummy all day I thought maybe I was constipated but I have gone bathroom twice. I feel very uncomfortable and was wondering if perhaps I might have a bladder infection since I had sex with my husband last night. Any advice?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. The pressure and heaviness in the lower abdomen could be due to bladder infection or hardening of the uterus due to painless uterine contractions.
However, other causes like threatened abortion should be ruled out.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
