What Causes Phlegm, Hoarse Voice Followed By Sore Throat And Spots On Tonsils?

About a week ago, I started getting a little phlegm and a slightly hoarse voice... sounded like a smoker. Sometimes there was a cough. Yesterday for the first time I had a super mildly sore throat, which is now gone. My husband looked in my mouth with a flashlight and now there are spots on my tonsils but none on my throat. Do I need to visit a doctor?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It seems like bacterial infection in throat leading to infection of the vocal cords leading to inflammation and causing Laryngitis and a horse voice and the infection has also infected the tonsillitis leading to tonsillitis and white spots are pus pockets..

Nothing to worry take a short course of antibiotics like Azithromycin, do warm saline gargles, steam inhalations.
Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily and avoid spicy and chilled foods.Do not speak aloud and in excess to provide relaxation to vocal cords..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
