What Causes Persistent Vertigo When In Supine Position?

Hello dr...I am suffering from vertigo...when I am lying straight have vertigo..if i take turn n sleep then I am fine...i done every test and MRI. Everything is normal..I visit every doc like neurologist ,ENT,Ortho, general physicians.. They gave me vertin16 ..when I take this medicine I feel better..but after few months problem reoccur again and again...neurologist gave me sarotena 10mg and sensual 25 but I am not taking that medicine...please suggest me what should I do? Is there any sever side effects of these medicine...I am in depression??

Hi. Your condition appears to be benign positional vertigo. This is caused by certain crystals in the inner ear moving out of place to put it in a simple way. It's nothing to worry about and vertin is OK for this. However you may get relief by a procedure called Epleys manouvre. This may be done by your ENT physician. Overall the dizziness decreases with time, rest and inner ear suppressants such as vertin etc. I presume that your blood tests such as Hemoglobin, blood sugar etc are OK.
