What Causes Persistent Vertigo?

i have this spinning a lot when i,m walking or at home siting it comes and go for about two weeks or more then it,s gone for a week or more then it,s back again it,s like when you wear new glasses witch i don,t wear had tests don on my ears and found nothing what causes that
