What Causes Persistent Nasal Congestion And Excessive Phlegm Production?

My son has terrible allergies the allergist put him on singulair claritin & allergy shot.He still has nasal congestion & perfuse phlegm production, The MD wanted to put him on zyrtec.Help!! Does it make sense to put him on Zyrtec when he is already on claritin

Adding another antihistamine is not recommended as he is already on loratadine,I would recommend a course of nasal spray mometasone if he is more than 5 yrs of age..
