Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Persistent Midsternal Chest Pain In Older Children?
My 15 year old grandson complains of midsternal continuous chest pain that affects him any time he lies down or moves his torso. His apical pulse is 98 and regular, lungs clear to auscultation, no wheezing or sore throat, no other symptoms. He states it began after drinking an energy drink at an airport prior to his flight back home a few days ago. I am stymied by this. By the way, I am a master s prepared RN.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, the most common cause of this pain could be hyperacidity and this need to be treated accordingly and best drugs for this would be "Tab Omeprazole 40 mg and Domperidone 30 mg" once in day for three weeks, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day,
