What Causes Periodic Fevers?

hello sir my 9 yr old son is having fever since friday.i have taken his blood test, and luckily malaria has not been found.but fever is coming at 5 hours interval.the doctor has prescribed cefixime dicloxacillin{mr} and paracetamol tablets for fever but i am afraid there is no improvement.he has also prescribed meftal-p for high fever.

Hi.. does the child have any associated symptoms with fever like cold, cough or cry during urination? If the fever is not responding to antibiotics and metal also then I think the child should undergo further evaluation with urine examination, blood counts and culture. It will also rule out any underlying infection or inflammatory process and we can decide about the antibiotics based on the culture report.
