What Causes Perineal Pain/pressure?

I'm a nineteen year old male. On friday I was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and prescribed phenazopyradine and an antibiotic. My urethra doesn't burn so much anymore, but I've been noticing some pressure or something in my perineum. It makes it sort of uncomfortable to walk. I've looked online and I can't find anything that says that perineal pain/pressure is a symptom of urinary tract infection. I'm in college and the health center is closed today, but I'm going tomorrow. I just want to know if I should be concerned.

Hello
I share your concern
heaviness or pain in lower abdomen/ perineum may occur with UTI.
I would advise you to take plenty of fluids which will also help in flushing off the urogenital tract.

If it doesn't improve with phenazopyridine than I would advise you to go for urine culture and sensitivity test and an ultrasound of abdomen.

Please write back to me with following details like
since how long you are having this problem
any history of recurrence of this problem?

Hope this answers your question, please feel free to ask for follow up question, I will be happy to help you
best wishes
