What Causes Burning In Urethra And Rectal Region After An Intercourse?

In Aug of 2009, had unprotected sex with a new partner and since then have had trouble with my
genital area. 6 days after the encounter, started having burning in my urethra which continued for over
6 months, been to several doctors including 3 urologists and still in the same condition.

HAd all STD test done and all came back negative except for HSV1. Though i have never had any
outbreaks. I have had a cystoscopy, xrays, cat scan, sonogram of the scrotum, several antibiotics including valtrex for
HSV and yet i have not been cured. Some doctors tell me it's chronic prostatis and some say it's Non-Gonnococcal urethritis.

I have used all medications, including doxy, cipro, bactrim, levaquin, macrobid, nizoral, diflucan, flagyl and you name it.

The burning urethra has subsided but now i have burning, tingling and discomfort in my rectum. I have not seen
any signs of hermorrhoids or any tear. No blood in my stool.

The discomfort comes and goes, some days it flares up very bad and some days it's mild. I also noticed that the days
it's mild, my urethra discomfort flares up and they interchange.

I don't have constipation or anything, my stool is ok. The urethra just feels raw and my anus feels very dry.

I have used OTC haemorrhoids cream/cortisone and does not help.

Hello,

Sometimes you can get relief from this burning urethra only with proper rehydration and alkalization of urine.

After these simple measures if it's not getting any better then you better go to your doctor to run some tests to rule out prostatitis and urinary tract infections.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
