What Causes Penile Erections With Normal Urinalysis?

My nephew is caucasian & will be 2 yrs old in 2 weeks. The last week he has had penal erections, 1-2 x per day, that have caused him great pain. He is not on any meds, no recent trauma or infection and a urinalysis was normal. What cases this and what should we do for him?

Painful erection is known as priapism.
Presence of such episode in children possibility of Sickle cell anemia needs to be considered.
I would suggest you to consult your Physician for further assessment.
