What Causes Pelvic Pain On My Right Side?

I got my Transvaginal/pelvic US back and it says dominant follicle involving the left ovary with trace pelvic free fluid. The other problem is I was having the pelvic pain on my right side and thats the side she focused more on, could it be possible she labeled the sides wrong?

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

The ultrasound could be correct, as there is no cyst or follicle on your right side, there could be possibility of rupture of a small cyst, if the pain is not severe then I suggest you to take some painkillers and watch. If the pain deteriorates, you need to visit ER immediately.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arif N. Khan, OBGYN
